Reboot.

Man It's been awhile since I've updated this blog. I've been a bit more active on Facebook recently, but a ton of work's been completed since the last post. So here's a few Illustrations I've worked on recently. You can find more of what I've been up to on my website FrankGarzaillustration.com. I'll be updating regularly again soon so stay tuned.

This one was Inspired by an old TSR Illustration called "Necromancy"

The Stormdrake and Magma beast

Learning first hand how tough it is to paint a dragon. Alot of fun, but hard.

The suprise was ready.

I was given a phrase to create an illustration with, and this was the result. I hope the suprise doesn't get ruined by the sword poking out behind the rock.

Random doodles

The SF Massive Black Workshop was great. I had the chance to meet and talk to a few of my favorite artists, get aquanted with some new friends, and some very talented people. I also received a lot of  great feedback on my own work. I highly recommend it. Here's some pages from my sketchbook, most of which were done at the workshop in between demos.

The Diadem

I painted this a while ago with my Fujitsu ST5112 slate pc. I like the convenience and portability of it, but I always end up having trouble getting the colors to look right on my mac. I actually ended up painting it twice and then completely changing the composition. Theres still things I'd want to add/change, but I'll just live with it for now. Work, work, work.

Boom!

Have a safe and happy 4th of July. Don't do anything I wouldn't do. (but if you do, dont get get caught.)

Sling'in some ink, and thinking about the days when  getting attacked by underwater crabs at work  was a normal part of my day. I decided to try and do something different just to break up the monotony of working solely in digital for the past 5 months. Ink on Bristol w/ digital color.
